Shri N.K.Singh stayed with The National Herald for five Years, The Pioneer for Ten years, and Eenadu/ETV group for 16 years and at the Sadhna News. He does not believe in job-hopping because the set-ups he has worked for gave him utmost satisfaction and he reciprocated the gesture with hard work, professional acumen and required loyalty. He was responsible for introducing the concept of self-regulation in Indian news television industry. The apex self-regulatory body -- Broadcast Editors' Association (BEA) was brought into existence at his initiative. Mr. Singh remained its general secretary for nine consecutive years. Mr.Singh has taken up some major assignments as Group Editor and Editor-in-Chief of Live India planning to re-launch this channel as one of the nation’s unique channels that will not be driven by commercial considerations but solely by public interest. At present he is an independent politico-socio analyst participating studio discussions in various national channels and writing columns in several newspapers besides functioning as an executive committee member of the broadcast editors' association (BEA).
